AWOL: The Campout, Where the Party Left the City
Music, a zipline, a rock wall, and trail rides. AWOL was our answer to a festival that doesn't end when the last set does.

AWOL started with a simple idea. What if the show didn't stop when the music did? Instead of everyone scattering at the end of the night, we wanted a weekend where the campsite was part of the experience, not an afterthought.
So we built one. We set up a dance floor out in the open, brought in DJs to run it late, and then stacked the daytime with things you don't usually get at a music event: a zipline, a rock wall, and trail rides that got people out into the landscape between sets.
That mix is harder to pull off than it looks. It means coordinating activity vendors, safety, power, sound, and a camp layout that actually flows, all at once. It's exactly the kind of multi-piece production our team is built for, and AWOL was a proving ground for a lot of what we do now.
The payoff was a crowd that felt more like a temporary town than an audience. People woke up, grabbed coffee, climbed a wall, floated a trail, and were back on the dance floor by dark. Nobody wanted to leave, which is the best problem an event can have.
